Miniaturized devices such as Lab-on-Chip technologies have already translated the long cherished dream to understand biological processes and tissue dysfunction in an artificial devices/chips. Biosensing, Bioimaging, targeted delivery of therapeutics, gene silencing, cell killing and tissue repair are no longer a science fiction. Understanding nutrient requirements, pest or pathogen attack and timely befitting delivery of nutrients, fertilizers and pesticides have already brought a great revolution in agriculture.
